Sherwin Gatchalian digs into Senate records to defend 12-member quorum

Despite these claims, the Senate continues to face a leadership standoff as Senator Alan Peter Cayetano insists he remains the rightful head of the chamber. Cayetano recently suggested a power-sharing compromise to address the ongoing friction. Former Senate leaders have since intervened, urging current members to set aside these political disputes and prioritize urgent national issues such as economic stability, food security, and energy concerns.
