Mūkusala promenade in Rīga to be fixed soon
After several months, repair work on the Mūkusalas Promenade in Riga is nearing completion. Although the promenade was opened to the public last December, the contractor had to address deficiencies identified immediately after opening. The work is scheduled to be completed this month, Latvian Television reported on June 9.
Renovation efforts on Riga's Mūkusalas Promenade are approaching their final stages after several months of corrective activity. While the waterfront walkway initially debuted to the public late last December, officials quickly discovered structural issues that required immediate attention. Consequently, the project contractor was tasked with remediating these defects to ensure the area meets safety and quality standards. Local media reports indicate that the finishing touches are expected to be finalized by the end of June. This progress marks the conclusion of a lengthy period of maintenance for the popular urban space.
The completion of these repairs ensures that a significant public infrastructure project in Riga is finally fully functional and safe for pedestrian use.
