In Monirampur Upazila, Jessore, a 45-year-old mason named Inamul Hossain was fatally attacked on Monday night. Relatives allege that the assault occurred because Inamul had protested inappropriate advances made towards his granddaughter, a ninth-grader. The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Rabbi, reportedly became enraged after local officials were informed of his behavior, leading to a confrontation. Inamul was ambushed and severely injured while returning home from the market, later succumbing to his wounds at Jessore General Hospital.
