A artista e fotógrafa italiana Patrizia Bonfanti inaugura, nesta quarta-feira, no Centro Cultural Moçambicano-Alemão (CCMA), a exposição fotográfica “15 Meticais”. “15 Meticais” é um retrato sensível e profundamente humano da resistência quotidiana na cidade de Maputo. Através de um olhar atento e poético, a exposição revela os gestos invisíveis que sustentam o dia-a-dia urbano: o trabalho nas ruas, o movimento constante dos chapas, as longas filas e a persistência silenciosa
Italian artist and photographer Patrizia Bonfanti is launching her exhibition "15 Meticais" at the Mozambican-German Cultural Center. The collection offers a sensitive portrayal of daily life and resilience in Maputo. Through her lens, Bonfanti captures the often-overlooked efforts and quiet dignity of individuals navigating the urban landscape, from street vendors to public transport workers.
The exhibition highlights the small, everyday actions that sustain city life, such as neatly arranged goods or the persistent work of collectors. It goes beyond depicting informal labor to celebrate the pride derived from the daily struggle for survival and family support, often on very limited means.
The exhibition provides a poignant look at the dignity and resilience found in the everyday struggles of ordinary people in Maputo.
