Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) has introduced a new collective zakat payment method, known as Zakat al-Mustaghallat (Khultah), for its unitholders. This revised approach will be effective from May 25, 2026, and applies to the net income distribution after a 2.57% zakat deduction. Importantly, the zakat will only be calculated on the distributed income, not on the total investment amount.
This change offers a streamlined zakat compliance process for ASNB investors on their income distributions.
