UK envoy calls for dialogue to secure peaceful transition and elections

The United Kingdom's Ambassador to South Sudan, David Ashley, has emphasized the critical need for continued dialogue among parties to the revitalized peace agreement. He met with Presidential Advisor on National Security, Tut Gatluak Manime, to discuss pathways for a peaceful conclusion to the transitional period and the successful organization of elections. Ambassador Ashley stressed that a unified approach and agreement among all signatories are essential for the country's future stability and democratic progress. He also highlighted the importance of upholding the ceasefire, particularly in Jonglei State and nationwide, as a foundation for these efforts.
