Adilson Graça Jesus, a PAICV representative, explained that the party's proposals aim for eventual free healthcare but denied promising immediate universal access. He emphasized that education, health, and housing are key governance priorities. Regarding transportation, the PAICV had pledged maritime travel at 500 escudos and flights at 5,000 escudos during the election campaign, with Jesus expressing confidence in these promises being fulfilled. The UCID party, however, has accused the PAICV of backtracking on its commitments after the election, suggesting the promised transportation prices may not materialize. UCID cited statements from the PAICV leader implying these low fares depended on private entities abroad.
