A 78-year-old tractor operator died in a fatal accident in a forest in Donji Koncovčak in the Međimurje region this morning. While operating a tractor with an attached trailer loaded with wood on a downhill slope, the driver lost control of the vehicle for reasons still under investigation. In an attempt to escape the runaway tractor, the man jumped from the cab but fell and was subsequently crushed by the machine. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the tragedy.
