One operation involved creating fraudulent Polish birth certificates to falsely establish paternity of twins born abroad, thereby qualifying individuals as fathers of three children and eligible for service deferment. The perpetrators, a couple, allegedly charged between $6,000 and $10,000 for these forged documents. In a separate case, a lawyer is suspected of exploiting a man with health issues, demanding $25,000 to facilitate a disability status that would grant exemption from military service. The lawyer allegedly told the client that obtaining disability status without his intervention was impossible.
These schemes highlight attempts to circumvent military service obligations through fraudulent means, posing challenges for conscription efforts and potentially undermining national security.
