The Department of Agricultural Extension has taken disciplinary action against eight individuals for irregularities during the recruitment examination for the post of 'Up-Assistant Agricultural Officer/Equivalent'. Six of the accused were found to have engaged in examination fraud, while two used fake candidates. The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) announced on Tuesday, June 8, 2026, that these actions were taken in accordance with the 'Disciplinary Action Policy for Criminal Behavior in Examinations, 2000'. The examination in question was held on October 6, 2025. All eight individuals have had their examination results canceled, and some have been barred from applying for future PSC-advertised positions. The PSC also noted that criminal cases are ongoing against five of the accused.
