Cypriot students win top honours at European robotics competition in Prague
Cypriot students returned from the European robotics competition Robotic Day Prague 2026 with a series of major distinctions, after taking part in the event held in the Czech Republic on June 6 and 7 . The competition, organised by Charles University in Prague brought together student teams from several European countries, with participants competing in robotics challenges that tested their construction, technical and programming skills. Cypriot students achieved significant success at the European robotics competition, Robotic Day Prague 2026, held in the Czech Republic. Teams from Epiteugma Robotics Lab earned four distinctions, including first place in the Roadside Assistance category with their "Island Boys" team and first place in the Ketchup House category with "I Forgot Now."
Other Cypriot teams also performed well, with "Agent Road-Bot" securing second place in Roadside Assistance and "Quantum Minds" taking second in ToyCleanup. The participation of students from various schools underscored Cyprus' growing strength in robotics and STEM education.
This achievement highlights the capabilities of young Cypriot students in technical fields and their potential to compete effectively on a European stage, demonstrating the value of investing in STEM education.
