The volume of mud from the Lapindo mudflow in Sidoarjo has significantly increased, nearing the capacity of the existing containment dikes. In response, the Lapindo Mudflow Handling Agency (PPLS) has undertaken efforts to raise the height of these dikes to prevent overflow. Residents are expressing concern about the potential consequences should the mud breach the barriers, particularly regarding the disruption of essential transportation routes.
