Παπασταύρου: Η Ελλάδα στρατηγικός σύμμαχος των ΗΠΑ στην ενέργεια και δύναμη σταθερότητας στην Αν. Μεσόγειο

Σε ερώτηση για τη συνάντηση που είχε με τον υπουργό Ενέργειας των ΗΠΑ, Κρις Ράιτ , ο κ. Παπασταύρου απάντησε ότι «η Ελλάδα είναι στρατηγικός σύμμαχος των ΗΠΑ στον ενεργειακό τομέα.

He emphasized Greece's role as a pillar of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, facilitating the delivery of American LNG to Southeastern Europe and aiding in the region's energy independence from Russian gas. The minister also pointed to the importance of energy diversification, citing the Vertical Gas Corridor which supplies Ukraine via Greece and other European nations. Furthermore, Greece is collaborating with major energy companies like ExxonMobil and Chevron to explore hydrocarbon resources, with the first exploratory drilling in fifty years anticipated soon.
This development underscores Greece's growing geopolitical significance and its contribution to European energy security amidst ongoing global energy challenges.
