Taking exception to Home Minister Priyank Kharge again questioning the registration status and transparency in financial transactions of the RSS, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president B.Y. Vijayendra has said attacking the RSS may generate headlines, but it does little to improve the lives of people of the backward Kalaburagi district who elected the Minister.

In a social media post, Mr. Vijayendra said, “The people of Kalaburagi and Karnataka deserve better governance, meaningful development, accountability, and leadership, not distractions or divisive rhetoric designed to divert attention from governance failures.”

Without taking the name of Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi, he said the remarks of the Home Minister against the RSS “must surely be your chief speaking through you. Governments have come and gone. Many governments that attempted to ban the RSS were ultimately rejected by people, while the RSS has continued to stand firm in its mission of uniting Hindu society and contributing to the vision of a strong, prosperous Bharat capable of sharing the message of Hindu Dharma with the world. The RSS functions within the framework of the Constitution of India, the very Constitution you have sworn to uphold.”
