Project to convert Kuthiravattom mental health facility as ‘happiness centre’

V.K. Fyzal Babu, Kozhikode South MLA, has proposed to convert the Government Mental Health Centre at Kuthirvattom here as a ‘Mental Happiness Centre’. A detailed project report for the purpose was handed over to Health Minister K. Muraleedharan at the State-level launch of the government’s ‘Kayakalpam’ public outreach initiative here on Tuesday (June 9). The project aims to develop facilities that will create a mentally relaxing atmosphere for the inmates, along with providing modern treatment methods. Environment-friendly renovation works will also be taken up, a press release from the MLA’s office said.
