Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is scheduled to take part in the 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in New Delhi on Thursday.
Sources said Mr. Vijay is scheduled to leave Chennai for New Delhi on a special flight on Wednesday. In New Delhi, he is expected to meet some political leaders on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister will participate in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, in which the Chief Ministers of all States and Union Territories, and Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, are members. In his speech, Mr. Vijay is expected to highlight some of the key issues concerning Tamil Nadu.

This is the second time Mr. Vijay is visiting the national capital after assuming office as Chief Minister. During his previous visit to New Delhi, Mr. Vijay called on Mr. Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Chief Minister is expected to arrive in Chennai on Friday.
