V roce 2025 probíhalo nejvíc ozbrojených konfliktů od druhé světové války, uvedla v úterý zveřejněná zpráva norského mírového institutu PRIO. Konfliktů s účastí alespoň jednoho státu bylo 65. Střetů se státními aktéry na obou stranách bylo osm, tedy dvojnásobek oproti předchozímu roku. Minulý rok byl podle zprávy třetí nejsmrtelnější od konce studené války, přímých obětí bojů či politicky motivovaného násilí bylo okolo 245 tisíc.
The year 2025 saw the highest number of armed conflicts globally since the end of World War II, according to a report released by the Norwegian Peace Research Institute (PRIO). The study documented 65 conflicts involving at least one state actor. Furthermore, clashes with state actors on both sides doubled compared to the previous year, reaching eight such confrontations. Last year was also identified as the third deadliest since the Cold War concluded, with approximately 245,000 direct fatalities from combat and politically motivated violence.
This data highlights a significant and concerning global trend of escalating warfare and its devastating human cost.
