These include shifting from major ports to smaller ones, utilizing ship-to-ship transfers, employing drones, and developing complex concealment techniques to evade detection. On the demand side, social services are now facing the challenge of dealing with substances that are not only more potent and pure but also frequently mixed with other drugs.
This evolving drug landscape necessitates adaptive strategies from law enforcement and public health services to effectively combat trafficking and mitigate the harms associated with increasingly complex and dangerous substances.
