The Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal has stated that construction entrepreneurs have not yet received price adjustments despite significant increases in fuel and construction material costs over the past few months, largely due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. This lack of price revision has pushed the construction industry and its businesses into an unprecedentedly dire situation, according to a statement released by the Federation's General Secretary, Shivahari Ghimire. The statement highlights that contractors are facing severe financial strain as they are compelled to continue projects at pre-hike rates, leading to substantial losses. This predicament threatens the viability of numerous ongoing infrastructure projects across the country.

The lack of price adjustments for construction materials and fuel directly impacts the financial health of the construction sector, potentially stalling vital infrastructure development and affecting the broader economy.
