The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is getting a remake for the Switch 2

Nintendo announced a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Tuesday. It will launch sometime in 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2 . More details will be announced "in the future." This new title is the first major release in the franchise since 2024's Echoes of Wisdom , which starred Princess Zelda herself. Echoes followed 2023's Tears of the Kingdom , a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild - both of which got upgraded Switch 2 versions alongside the launch of the new console last year.
