Authorities in Santana do Riacho, Minas Gerais, have arrested a 28-year-old woman suspected of complicity in the sexual abuse of her own children. The crimes, which allegedly occurred in December 2022, involved her three children, aged 3, 4, and 6 at the time. A 35-year-old man, identified as a friend of the mother, was also apprehended and is accused of perpetrating the assaults with the woman's consent. The investigation was initiated after a concerned uncle reported the abuse, prompted by the eldest child's withdrawn behavior. Medical examinations and the children's testimonies corroborated the allegations, confirming the assaults took place in the mother's presence. The woman and the man have been sentenced to 24 years in prison.
