The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has partially dismissed the criminal charges against former Belgrade Police Chief Veselin Milić. Milić will not face charges for aiding in the murder of Aleksandar Nešković-Baja, a figure linked to organized crime. Prosecutors stated that evidence, including surveillance footage and phone records, indicates Milić was not present at the crime scene and therefore could not have assisted in the murder or the subsequent concealment of evidence. However, the investigation continues regarding charges that Milić failed to report a crime, as there is suspicion he was informed about the murder and did not report it to the authorities as required by his official duties.
