Three individuals were arrested by the Goshamahal police on Tuesday (June 9) in connection with a house theft case reported in Golconda.
The accused were identified as A. Praveen Kumar, 21, a labourer from Devi Nagar, Jummerat Bazaar; K. Sai Shyam Singh, 36, who runs a mobile shop at Lower Dhoolpet; and D. Vineeth Kumar alias Vinnu, 42, a businessman from Jummerat Bazar Ground.
The issue came into light following a complainant by Aravind, a 38-year-old panipuri vendor residing in Gyan Bagh Colony, Goshamahal, stating that unknown persons broke into his house during the intervening night of 27 and 28 May 2026 while his family was asleep. The stolen items included two mobile phones, ₹5,000 in cash and an LPG gas cylinder, collectively valued at around ₹20,000.
During interrogation, all three accused confessed to their involvement in the offence. Based on their disclosure, police recovered two mobile phones, an empty HP domestic LPG cylinder and ₹200 in cash.
Investigators further found that Praveen carried out the theft and later sold the stolen items to the other two accused, who are habitual offenders with prior criminal cases.
The accused were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody. Further investigation is under way.
