Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu holding a review meeting on GSDP on Tuesday.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to prepare monthly economic reports to closely monitor Andhra Pradesh’s growth trajectory and ensure the State achieves its Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) targets.
Reviewing GSDP goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the 2026-27 financial year, Mr. Naidu underscored the need for data-driven governance and continuous monitoring of economic indicators at the State, district and mandal levels. He said monthly, quarterly and half-yearly assessments would help track progress and facilitate timely policy interventions wherever required.

He stressed the need to enhance Gross Value Addition (GVA) in manufacturing, mining, trade, transport, agriculture and services. Flagship projects such as Amaravati, the Polavaram project, ports and airports, he said, should be leveraged to generate higher economic activity and create employment opportunities.
Mr. Naidu also directed officials to make greater use of technology and AI to strengthen tax administration and improve GST and other revenue collections. To improve administrative efficiency, he proposed a State-level capacity-building workshop for government officials on July 2 and 3.
