Leaders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Tuesday (June 9, 2026) called on Minister of Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath and submitted a representation urging his intervention in the strict enforcement of the law banning cow slaughter.
Led by VHP State leader Thumukunta Pratap Reddy, district-level leaders from the VHP and Bajrang Dal met with Mr. Bharath at his office in Kurnool and submitted a representation requesting more rigorous implementation of cow protection laws.
The VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders stated that Mr. Bharath telephoned officials from government departments regarding cow protection regulations and instructed them to enforce the laws strictly. They expressed gratitude to the Minister for issuing clear directives to ensure that not a single cow falls victim to illegal transport and that cow slaughter is completely prevented.
