The Andhra Pradesh Commissionerate of Higher Education has extended by a week the application deadline for the Faculty Recruitment 2026 in the public universities, following requests from candidates who are yet to complete the application process.

According to a notification released on Monday, candidates can submit their online applications and pay the registration fee through the Common Recruitment Portal until June 15, instead of the earlier deadline of June 8. The recruitment portal can be accessed at https://apuniversitiesrecruitment.apcfss.in.

The last date for receipt of hard copies of applications, along with supporting documents, by registered post, speed post or courier has also been extended from June 15 to June 22. The participating universities have correspondingly revised subsequent stages of the recruitment process.

The list of prima facie eligible and ineligible applicants will now be displayed on June 29. Candidates may submit grievances on eligibility until July 6, while the final list of prima facie eligible candidates will be published on July 7.

As on the date of the notification, 34,207 candidates have registered on the common recruitment portal. Of them, 29,179 had applied for at least one post, and 27,267 had completed the application process. A total of 1,60,314 applications had been submitted for various faculty positions across the State public universities.

The Commissionerate has advised candidates to complete the online application process before the revised deadline and ensure that the hard copies of their applications reach the respective university registrars by June 22. Candidates have also been asked to regularly check the recruitment portal for updates and instructions.
