Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar has asked the youth to stay away from bad habits, walk the path of righteousness, and strive for great heights, stating that this is crucial for the development of society.

The SP attended the closing ceremony of the inter-mandal cricket tournament held over the past 15 days in Chennekothapalli, within the Ramagiri Police Circle, and addressed the gathering. He advised the youth to maintain a clear focus on their life goals and to move forward with discipline. “The ages of 20 to 22 are a crucial phase for building one’s future, and the decisions made during this time determine the course of one’s life,” he said.

On the occasion, he stated that addictions such as marijuana, alcohol, and tobacco harm not only the individual’s life but also their families. Emphasizing the importance of treating girls and women with respect, he informed the youth about the stringent provisions of the POCSO Act regarding sexual harassment and assault.

The police always maintain a friendly relationship with those who conduct themselves well in society, he said, adding that the same police will take uncompromising and strict action against those who violate the law.

The sports events were organised under the aegis of the Ramagiri Circle police to foster unity and harmony in the villages, and everyone was urged to live together amicably without engaging in conflicts.

Nearly 60 teams from Chennekothapalli, Ramagiri, and Kanaganapalli mandals participated in this tournament, which was organised to foster a positive mindset among the youth. The Medapuram team stood first receiving a cash prize of ₹40,000 along with a trophy. The CK Palli Youth team finished second with ₹30,000 and a trophy.
