An extensive cleanup operation near the railway lines in Thebes has successfully removed over 11 tons of waste. The initiative, a collaboration between the Athanasios K. Laskaridis Foundation's Cyclone Project, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, and the Municipality of Thebes, targeted a long-standing environmental and safety hazard. The operation covered approximately 650 meters of the railway, clearing bulky items, debris, and various types of refuse that had accumulated over years. This cleanup aimed to restore safety and order to a critical section of the rail network.
