The Ministry of Culture's initiative "All of Greece, One Culture" is returning this summer for its seventh year, expanding its reach and featuring over 900 artists in 95 productions. The program aims to connect contemporary art with cultural heritage, bringing performances to archaeological sites, museums, and monuments across the country. This year's event will utilize 19 new locations, including the Mycenae Archaeological Site and the Monastery of Arkadi, in an effort to promote cultural decentralization beyond Athens. Performances will be offered for two nights each at 94 ancient theaters, castles, and other historical venues, with free admission for the public.
This initiative matters because it democratizes access to the arts by bringing cultural events to diverse locations across Greece and engaging local communities with their heritage.
