Cocaine involved in ‘majority’ of overdose deaths in Cyprus

The report also highlighted concerns about potential HIV outbreaks in Cyprus due to stimulant use and needle sharing, despite a general decline in HIV diagnoses linked to injecting drug use across the EU. However, the rate of these diagnoses remains significantly higher than the UNAids target, with insufficient provision of sterile injecting equipment in several EU countries, including Cyprus.
