Counties to get Sh428bn after MPs, Senators end deadlock on crucial Bill

County governments are set to receive Sh428 billion following the resolution of a dispute between Members of Parliament and Senators regarding the allocation of funds. The two legislative bodies had been at odds over the exact amount to be disbursed, with Senators initially advocating for Sh454.7 billion and MPs proposing Sh425 billion. The compromise figure of Sh428 billion was reached after negotiations concluded the deadlock.
