A 20-year-old man has been arrested and confessed to the brutal murder of a 45-year-old woman in Várzea Grande, Mato Grosso. The suspect allegedly set the victim on fire while she was still alive after she refused his sexual advances. According to the police, the victim had an agreement with the suspect for sexual relations in exchange for drugs and money, which he claimed she broke. Following a physical altercation where he stabbed her and beat her with a stone sink, he then sexually assaulted her before dousing her with gasoline and setting her ablaze. Security footage captured the suspect carrying a fuel canister shortly before the crime.
