Prime Minister Tareq Rahman has provided financial assistance to national women's football team star RituParna Chakma for the construction of her house. The Prime Minister handed over the grant check to RituParna at his office in the National Parliament building during a break in the budget session. This support follows previous assistance from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to RituParna and her family, including financial aid for her mother's cancer treatment in 2025, directed by then-acting BNP Chairman Tareq Rahman. RituParna Chakma has been a key player in Bangladesh's women's football success, contributing significantly to their SAFF Women's Championship victories in 2022 and 2024, and the qualification for the AFC Women's Asian Cup finals in 2025.

This gesture highlights the recognition and support for athletes who bring national pride through their achievements.
