Authorities in Açailândia, Maranhão, have arrested two men in connection with a homicide that occurred early Monday morning. The victim, identified as Frank Reis Furtado Sousa, also known as "Reizinho," was reportedly killed with bladed weapons. Police quickly identified the suspects through surveillance footage and apprehended them hiding in a nearby residence.
During the arrest, investigators seized the weapons used in the crime and the clothing worn by the suspects. Both individuals confessed to the murder, which is believed to have stemmed from drug-related debts owed by the victim to one of the perpetrators and a threat made by the victim against the other suspect using a replica firearm.
