Vorig jaar is er in Limburg 92.890 euro betaald, in heel Vlaanderen was dat 156.416 euro. De omvormers van de panelen vallen soms uit op zonnige momenten, wanneer een lokaal elektriciteitsnetwerk de piek niet kan verwerken.

Last year, Limburg accounted for over 92,000 euros in these compensations, a significant portion of the total 156,000 euros paid out across Flanders. These outages typically occur during sunny periods when local electricity grids struggle to manage peak demand, causing the panel inverters to fail.
This highlights a growing issue with grid capacity in relation to renewable energy generation, particularly in sunny regions like Limburg.
