Rubão Neto, a 46-year-old chef from Acre, has been recognized as the second-best cook in the Northern region of Brazil. His culinary journey began over a decade ago with a humble street food stall selling skewers in front of his family's home, born out of a need for income after unemployment. Driven by a passion for cooking and persistence, Neto has since expanded his ventures to include two restaurants and a catering service in Rio Branco, with a third restaurant soon to open.
Neto's dedication led him to compete in the Abrachefs Nacional competition, where he first secured second place in the state level in 2023, qualifying for the national stage. He later won the state competition in Acre in 2026 before achieving his current second-place ranking in the regional finals, competing against representatives from across Brazil.
