Santos will host a free event on Saturday, September 13th, dedicated to organ donation awareness. The "Encontro pela Vida" event, now in its second year, will take place at the Municipal Orchidarium from 9 AM to 1 PM. It aims to educate the public on the importance of organ and tissue donation, featuring health screenings, educational activities, and musical performances.
Attendees will hear personal stories from transplant recipients and individuals on the waiting list, fostering reflection and hope. The initiative, organized by the Deixe Vivo Institute and the Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation Section (Secapt), also includes a symbolic tribute to donor families, recognizing their life-saving generosity.
The event aims to increase public awareness and encourage organ donation, a critical factor in saving lives and improving the quality of life for many Brazilians.
