Tinubu establishes Ebola task force, approves ₦10bn for preparedness

President Bola Tinubu has initiated measures to bolster Nigeria's readiness against potential Ebola outbreaks. He has established a Presidential Task Force dedicated to this purpose, which will be led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila. The task force will comprise members from key government ministries, departments, agencies, and state representatives.

In addition to forming the task force, President Tinubu has allocated ₦10 billion to enhance the nation's preparedness for Ebola. This funding is intended to support the necessary resources and strategies to mitigate the risk of the virus entering and spreading within the country.
