The Federal Police communicated this refusal to the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) via email. The commission, investigating R$ 90 million in pension fund investments, plans to seek Vorcaro's testimony through the Supreme Federal Court (STF). During the seventh meeting, a member of the São Roque Previ's Deliberative Council stated she did not recall signing documents related to investment risks, only the one authorizing the investments. Another former institute member testified that the decision to invest was based on a consultancy's recommendation for potentially higher profits.
The investigation is crucial for understanding how public pension funds were invested in a bank that ultimately failed, potentially impacting municipal employees' retirement security.
