A wildlife photographer has captured rare images of a leopard cat in the tea gardens of Sreemangal, Moulvibazar. These elusive creatures, once more common in tea gardens and forests, are now rarely seen. The photographer, Kajol Hazra, successfully photographed the leopard cat after a patient wait in the Bharaura tea garden, near the Lawachara National Park. He noted that sightings have become significantly less frequent over the past four years. Hazra expressed his joy at documenting such a rare animal, highlighting the challenges in their conservation.

The diminishing numbers of leopard cats, a rare wild animal, underscore the urgent need for habitat conservation and protection of biodiversity to maintain ecological balance.
