Residents in the Foy's Lake area of Chittagong are facing a severe water crisis despite having active connections with the Chittagong Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA). Many households report receiving water from WASA lines only a few days over several months, forcing them to rely on expensive private deep tube wells. This lack of access has significantly increased living costs, with families spending thousands of extra taka monthly on alternative water sources. Despite numerous complaints and site visits by WASA engineers, the problem remains unresolved, affecting an estimated one lakh people in the Foy's Lake, Khulshi, and surrounding hilly regions.

The persistent water scarcity in a prominent urban area highlights critical infrastructure and resource management issues that directly impact the daily lives and financial well-being of a large population.
