Βουλή: «Αυλαία» για τη συνταγματική αναθεώρηση
«Αυλαία» σήμερα στη Βουλή για την συνταγματική αναθεώρηση , με βάση τη σχετική πρόταση που κατέθεσε ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης και οι βουλευτές της ΝΔ. Στην ολομέλεια, ο πρόεδρος του Σώματος, Νικήτας Κακλαμάνης θα ανακοινώσει τη συγκρότηση της προβλεπόμενης Επιτροπής Αναθεώρησης του Συντάγματος, η οποία θα έχει 42 μέλη και αναμένεται να έχει διακομματικό προεδρείο. The Greek Parliament is concluding the process for constitutional revision today, following a proposal by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and New Democracy MPs. The Speaker of the House will announce the formation of a 42-member Revision Committee, expected to have a cross-party presidency. This committee will have two months to submit its report on the proposed amendments.
Following the report's submission, the plenary will hold two votes on the provisions within a month. The final vote will take place in the next parliamentary term, with articles already securing 180 votes passing by simple majority, while those initially passing with a simple majority will require 180 votes to be ratified.
This marks a significant step in potentially reforming key aspects of the Greek Constitution, including accountability for government officials and the structure of higher education.
