Dr. Mohit Kamal, former director of the National Institute of Mental Health, discussed "Democratic Parenting," emphasizing that children's behavior is significantly influenced by what they observe. He highlighted two key parental responsibilities: acting as positive role models by avoiding conflict in front of children and fostering a secure environment through a good marital relationship. Additionally, he stressed the importance of teaching children discipline and regularity from a young age with patience and love, rather than coercion.
Understanding and implementing democratic parenting principles is essential for raising well-adjusted, confident, and responsible individuals.
