Bangladesh and Russia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and friendly relations. The pledge was made during a meeting in Moscow between Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia. Both sides engaged in discussions on various issues of mutual interest and explored avenues for enhanced collaboration across different sectors.

They also emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication to further advance the long-standing partnership between the two nations. The meeting was attended by Humayun Kabir, the Prime Minister's Advisor on Foreign Affairs. Foreign Minister Rahman is currently in Russia on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, participating in multiple meetings with senior Russian officials to discuss bilateral ties as well as regional and international matters.

The renewed commitment signifies a potential for deeper diplomatic and economic ties between Bangladesh and Russia, impacting regional dynamics and international relations.
