This follows the expulsion of former lawmaker Kiko Barzaga from the House of Representatives due to "disruptive" and "disorderly behavior." The Comelec is coordinating with security forces and local officials for the event. The poll body is also seeking P191 million in funding from the executive department to cover the costs associated with the elections for over 437,000 registered voters.
