Vijf uilskuikens in kerk Opgrimbie: "Werken hielden de uilen niet tegen om nest te bouwen"

Five barn owl chicks have hatched in the church of Opgrimbie, located in Maasmechelen. Despite ongoing renovations to facilitate a 'Cycling through the Church' project, a pair of barn owls successfully built a nest above the altar. The construction work did not deter the birds from nesting and raising their young.

This event highlights the resilience of wildlife and their ability to adapt to human-modified environments, even during significant construction projects.
