Competition Council: Bolt is not abusing its position in taxi market
The Competition Council (KP) has concluded in its investigation on June 10 that "Bolt Operations OÜ" (Bolt) holds a dominant position in the market for commercial passenger transportation by car and taxi services. At the same time, the KP acknowledged that there is no proof that Bolt has abused its dominant position.
Estonia's Competition Council has determined that Bolt occupies a dominant position within the country's taxi and ride-sharing market. The investigation, concluded on June 10th, found that the company holds significant market power. However, despite acknowledging this dominance, the Council found no evidence to suggest that Bolt has engaged in any abusive practices related to its market position.
This ruling clarifies Bolt's market standing and assures consumers and competitors that the company is not exploiting its dominant role.
