Bank Windhoek coffee fest draws big crowd

Bank Windhoek, in collaboration with Visa, successfully hosted the inaugural Bank Windhoek Coffee Extravaganza in Windhoek on Saturday. The new lifestyle event made a strong debut in the capital city, drawing a large crowd of coffee and food lovers, and social explorers, with 1 284 tickets sold and 20 individual vendor stalls participating across the exhibition floor. Held from 10h00 to 17h00, the one-day public event delivered a vibrant programme of immersive coffee experiences. The interactive format featured live roasting showcases, barista demonstrations, tasting stations, and unique cooking sessions led by Namibian culinary personalities. Throughout the day, guests sampled a diverse range of coffee flavours and brewing styles. Bank Windhoek’s head of strategic communication and social impact, Bronwyn Moody, notes that the success of the first-ever showcase reflects a strong domestic appetite for tailored lifestyle experiences that bring local communities together, while highlighting small enterprises and regional creative talent. “We are delighted by the overwhelming support shown for the inaugural Bank Windhoek Coffee Extravaganza,” Moody says.
