The Kedah Fatwa Committee has declared the teachings of Muhamad Yudha Al Fikri, an Indonesian national residing in Sungai Petani, as deviant and straying from Islamic principles based on the Ahli Sunnah Wal-Jamaah creed. The committee's findings, made after reviewing allegations on May 10th, indicate that Al Fikri promotes extraordinary claims regarding the unseen, which contradict Islamic teachings. These claims include asserting he can perceive the unseen, such as the torments of the grave, the fate of individuals in paradise or hell, and the contents of the Luh Mahfuz, after experiencing a "veil opening" from Allah. He also alleges the ability to see jinn and devils with his "inner eye" and to summon angels and jinn through prayer, even claiming to have commanded angels to halt grave punishments.
This ruling is significant as it aims to prevent the spread of potentially misleading religious ideologies and guide Muslims in Kedah to adhere to authentic Islamic teachings.
