IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh has alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government tried to destroy the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), whereas the TDP-led coalition has a history of saving it twice.
He said in a press release that, during the YSRCP rule, an attempt was made to grab VSP’s lands in the name of building a capital in the port city.
“There is nothing wrong with consoling the victims, but having hatched a conspiracy to get rid of the steel plant, you should apologise to the workers and only then return to Bengaluru,” Mr. Lokesh said.
